Breast Augmentation

Are you unhappy with the size or shape of your breasts?

Have you lost fullness of your breasts after pregnancy or weight loss?

Breast augmentation is used to increase or restore breast size. This procedure can help with giving you more breast volume after weight loss or pregnancy. A breast augmentation can also shape or improve asymmetries of your breasts.

A breast augmentation can also be used in conjunction with a breast lift if you have severely drooping breasts. In the hands of a skilled plastic surgeon, a breast augmentation may help you achieve a better balance of breast and hip proportions as well as even enhancing your self-image and self-confidence. There are many choices to consider and Dr. Samimi will discuss all your options during your consultation. His experience will help you make the right choice. His staff will also spend as much time as you need in order to help you make a comfortable decision.

Before & After

Saline Or Silicone Implants?

Both saline and silicone implants are FDA approved and available. Most women will achieve excellent results with either implant, but silicone implants are often softer and more natural feeling. The implants are available in different shapes and sizes and choosing the right one is an important part of the consultation.

The implant may be placed through different incisions. The incision may be placed around the lower areola (infraareolar), just above the breast fold (inframammary) or in the armpit (axillary). Each incision has advantages and it sometimes is simply your personal preference.

Recovery

Recovery from a breast augmentation is fairly quick. At 3 weeks your weight restriction is lifted and you can resume all of your regular activities. Dr. Samimi does not use drains postoperatively for a breast augmentation. You will be dressed with gauze and placed in a surgical bra that offers you compression and support and that must be worn for a total of 6 weeks. You should be able to return to work with some limitations within a week or so.
